This is Halloween
For the past few years I haven’t been heavily involved in Halloween. It’s almost a shame really, considering it’s one of my favorite holidays. While I haven’t actively been involved in selecting a costume or attending any sort of soiree, that doesn’t stop me from admiring all the clever ideas floating around social media—specifically Instagram and YouTube!
With Halloween a week away, I thought I would share the looks I’m falling for this year. Now some are recent and some are from years past that I’ve just come across, but nonetheless, they stand the test of time.
As a disclaimer, the first five looks I’m about to share are from Desi Perkins, As a lifestyle and beauty vlogger, she is one of my favorites, and although selecting her may be a bit biased, there is no doubt that her Halloween looks always kill it!

We’ve all seen the pop art/comic book costumes float around the past few years , but to me this is a step up. Can we take a moment and appreciate the simplicity and the overall impact it has?!
The sheer creativity and craftsmanship of this has won me over! I would love to see this recreated, or recreate this into a female version for myself.
It’s amazing the effects some paint and the proper shadowing can create! Who said the damned can’t be beautiful?
Such a great take on a classic character. I honestly can’t say I’ve seen a better interpretation. This is sure to have festivity goers doing a double take.

Unfortunately, there is no tutorial for this look and since this look was posted back in October of 2016 on her Instagram, you’ll have to scroll a bit. On the bright side, Brookelle always lists the products that she uses for her looks!

While there is no tutorial for this look, any image editing program allows you to invert an image. If you glam the other side and invert the image, you can use that as a point of reference.This look with a power suit, and honey you got yourself a look!

As a last minute makeup, I think this is an excellent go to. Paired with a glam outfit, and the right accessories, you’ll be ready for the night.

Toss those sheets aside and opt for something with a stepped up edge. Lauren Conrad shows us just how eerily beautiful a ghost can be.

Sadly, there is no tutorial for this look either, but it’s pretty straightforward. Lily always nails the Catrina and really elevates the style. This is perfect if you’re looking for something to update the overplayed look.
Even if you’ve already had your costume planned for months, take a moment to visit their Instagram’s and appreciate them for the talents that they are! And although majority of these looks are done by women, don’t be mistaken—just about every one of these looks can be worn or tailored for anyone to wear.
